Elizabeth Huey in Cheap and Plastique Magazine
Friday, October 10th, 2008Elizabeth Huey is prominently featured in the new issue of Cheap and Plastique. The Brooklyn magazine devotes a full 10 pages to a Q&A with the artist, reproducing many of Huey’s classic imagistic paintings of neo-Victorian delirium and psychological dreamscapes. Several of the pieces featured in Cheap and Plastique, including “The Examination of the Oversensitive” (pictured left), were included in Huey’s last show at Quality Pictures. Huey’s next exhibition at QPCA will be our lead-off for 2009, as she takes over both gallery spaces with new work from January 8 to February 28, 2009. In the meantime, her paintings can still be seen at both the Kemper and Arizona State University museums, or by appointment at Quality Pictures.
