Jen DeNike in Through a Glass, Darkly at Denver’s RedLine

Wednesday, November 12th, 2008

Over the weekend, Denver’s newest contemporary art center debuted their inaugural exhibition, Through a Glass, Darkly, organized in collaboration with New York’s P.S.1. The group show, which suggests an ambitious and promising exhibition program for RedLine, features QPCA artist Jen DeNike, Taryn Simon, Douglas Gordon, Annette Roberts-Gray, Damien Echols, and Lisi Raskin. “Through a Glass, Darkly brings together artworks which examine the possibilities and complexities in a deepening political crisis in America,” says the gallery. “With the use of various media such as photography, video, installation, or assemblage, artists in Through a Glass, Darkly explore new ways to relate to the present world without being either didactic or dogmatic.”
